I Will Attend GodotCon
Table of Contents
I will attend GodotCon in Boston on Tue Jul 21. I’ve atttended similar Conventions like PAX East, and I don’t anticipate this will be any different. Still though, I wanted to outline how I trawl physical events to seek the Divine.
At the Event
Generally I just meander around tables and booths. If the booth is open or has a short line, I play there. If not, I generally ask the developer for a two-sentence summary, then collect a πͺͺ buisiness card πͺͺ and leave.
The buisiness cards tell me which games to sit down and play later once I get home. I collect a LOT of buisiness cards from these events, often hauling in a large pile. Seriously, here’s one from PAX:
I don’t plan on attending any panels or talks this time; though sometimes I do if the topic interests me.
That being said…
It is very important you have a Steam or itch.io demo in addition to what you present on the event floor; and this must remain up even after the event ends. Nobody has time to play everything; and nothig is more frustrating than setting aside a buisiness card for later only to find the build gone when I sit down to play it.
Say Hi!
If you’re attending GodotCon and want to talk Muse Hunting, I will be wearing a bow scrunchie (my signature accessory) with a pineapple pattern.
I also plan to do a follow-up post on demos and people I found notable, as well as a reflection on physical events in general.
